Information we collect
You can browse the directory without creating an account. When you contact us, request information, submit a listing correction, claim a listing, or ask to be contacted about funeral services, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, message, service location, funeral-home details, company information, and proof of affiliation.
We also receive routine technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring pages, and interaction events. If you choose location-based search, your browser may provide location coordinates; the site stores a short-lived location preference in your browser to support that feature.
How we use information
- Respond to questions, listing updates, claims, and partnership requests.
- Route a requested contact or quote inquiry and follow up on that request.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the directory.
- Measure page use, searches, downloads, and other site interactions.
- Prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and excessive automated requests.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to host the website, store submissions, measure site usage, and manage requested communications. These currently include Supabase for application data, Netlify for website hosting, Google Analytics when enabled, and GoHighLevel for contact and lead follow-up workflows. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction.
Funeral-home profiles may link to independently operated websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Cookies and local storage
The site and its service providers may use cookies or similar browser storage for analytics, preferences, security, and functionality. You can control cookies through your browser. Blocking storage may limit features such as saved view preferences or location-based search.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, use our contact form and select the closest available reason. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children and policy changes
The directory is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The revision date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
